Creating your Social Wall is easy and it will take no more than 3 minutes to get your Social Wall up and running. This step by step user guide will help you get started with creating your Social Wall.
USER TAB
Once logged in you will be presented with the Social Wall Dashboard. By Default the User Tab will be displayed. On this User Tab you will be able to change some of your personal details like your First Name, Last Name, Password and Email Address. Make sure after changing any of the details you click on the Submit button.
At the bottom of the page you will see the You Social Wall URL. This is a unique URL that you will need to use to display your Social Wall. If you click on the Preview button without configuring your Social Profiles, then a blank wall will be displayed.
If you are looking at embedding Social Wall into a website,iIntranet page or WordPress then use the iFrame code supplied.
You will also be able to make Yearly or Monthly subscription payments using Paypal (or Credit Card).

GENERAL TAB
On this Tab you will be able to set a fixed Width (pixels) and Height (pixels) of the Social Wall. This is the resolution of the screen you intend to display the Social Wall on. In this example we are using a resolution of 1920×1080 (Full HD).

You can also set the number of columns on the Social Wall. We recommend you don’t set this above 6 unless you’re planning to use it on a large video wall otherwise the size of the posts become too small. The Auto Scroll option gives you the ability to have the Social Wall auto scroll automatically (bottom up).

If you click on Yes for Auto Scroll you also have the option to set the Pause Scrolling On Mouse Hover. If you select Yes, then if the mouse is over a post, the scrolling will pause. You will also notice there is a Responsive Option.If you select Yes for Responsive, then our system will automatically resize the Social Wall to fit on your screen. For example if it’s displayed on a Mobile phone, the Social Wall will automatically adjust itself to display the posts in one column. If it’s on a tablet, then the Social Wall will automatically adjust itself to display with two columns.

You can sort how the social posts are displayed on your Social Wall by Newest to Oldest, Oldest to Newest or Randomly.

The Enable Social Media Account enables you to select which social media posts to display. Just make sure that you’ve set up the Social Profiles before enabling it otherwise you may see a white screen. If you decide not to display a particular Social Profile, then just deselect it. Make sure to click on Submit after making any changes to this page.

FACEBOOK TAB
Click on the Facebook Tab. Enter the usernames of your Facebook page or profile you want to display on the Social Wall. Read this post if you want to know How to Create A Username For Your Facebook Page.
You can add multiple usernames by using a comma in between the usernames. You can set the number of total posts that will be displayed from Facebook. Press Submit to save.

Click on the Twitter Tab. Enter the usernames of the Twitter accounts you want to display on the Social Wall. You can add multiple usernames by using a comma in between the usernames. You can also display Twitter posts that have a specific hashtags e.g Winter, Summer. You can set the number of total posts that will be displayed from Twitter. If you want to block any particular user from displaying on the Social Wall when using specific hashtags, enter their username in the Username(s) to Block field. Press Submit to save.
NOTE: The more posts you display the longer it will take to download and display the images.

INSTAGRAM TAB
Click on the Instagram Tab. You will need to use your Facebook Account with the Facebook Page that is linked to the Instagram Business Account to authorise the Social Wall app to display your Instagram posts and hashtags.

Click on the Instagram Tab

You will see the Log in With Facebook button

Make sure you are logged into Facebook and you’re using the account that is linked to the Facebook Page (as per the above checklist, make sure the Facebook Page is linked to the Instagram Business Account)
Click on the Log in With Facebook and a popup window will be displayed asking for Facebook access.

Press the blue Continue as xxx. NOTE: our app does not post to Facebook or Instagram
If you have multiple Facebook associated to your Facebook account select the correct one from the drop down list

If you want to display the Instagram Profile posts select “Display Profile posts”

If you want to display posts using a specific hashtag then type the hashtag keywords in the hashtag field (you can only type the hashtag once you have authenticated with your Facebook account)

Leave the post limit to 10. This is the number of posts to display from Instagram. The more posts, the longer it will take to display.
Click on Submit
Go back to the Account tab and then select Instagram from the list

YOUTUBE TAB
Click on the YouTube Tab. Enter the YouTube accounts you want to display on the Social Wall. You can add multiple usernames by using a comma in between the usernames. You can set the number of total posts that will be displayed from YouTube. Press Submit to save.

PINTEREST TAB
Click on the Pinterest Tab. Enter the Pinterest accounts you want to display on the Social Wall. You can add multiple usernames by using a comma in between the usernames. You can set the number of total posts that will be displayed from Pinterest. Press Submit to save.

HASHTAG MODERATION
With hashtag moderation, you’ll be able to select which hashtag posts to display. Once you set the hashtag on the Twitter and Instagram Tabs (Facebook is not available), you can then moderate these in the Hashtag Moderation Tab.
Click on Enable Moderation and a list of all the hashtag posts will be displayed in the dashboard. This does not display it on the Social Wall unless it is set to ON.

From the list you can then select which posts to display. If the display button is set to OFF it is not being displayed on the Social Wall, but if it’s set to ON then it will be displayed.

There are a few other options you can use as well:
Auto Refresh – this will refresh the list in the Hashtag Moderation Tab every x min so you don’t have to basically click on the refresh button or refresh the page to see any new hashtags.So every x minutes the list will refresh and it will go down to the first post that is set to OFF so you can moderate
Display All – when ON has pressed all the posts in the hashtag moderation list will be set to ON meaning they will be displayed on the Social Wall. This is just a quick way to set all the post to display on the social wall. If OFF is set then all the hashtag posts will be set to OFF and will not be displayed. Please note for a list that has many posts this may take a while to automatically set them to ON.
Action – the clear button resets the hashtag moderation list so that it’s blank. You can use this when changing hashtags and just need to clear the list. Submit is when you make a change it send the information.

CUSTOM POSTS
With customs posts, you will be able to display custom messages on the Social Wall. The custom post can be an image, text with a button linking to a website or URL. Click on Create Post, then add an Image, Description, the text for the Button (example Read More) with a URL link. If you don’t want to display the Button then delete Read More and leave the field empty. Make sure Active is selected to Yes. The List tab will display all the Custom Posts and you can delete or edit each one.
WORDS BLACKLIST
If you want to moderate or filter some of the posts from your Social Wall then enter the list here. You can use multiple words and also use the wildcard * to filter based on parts of a word. Read this post for more info: Social Wall Moderation

You can also add the term “RT” if you’re looking at not displaying Twitter Re-Tweet. This is a great feature when you’re using Hashtags and you don’t want to display duplicate content that are just re-tweets. Read this post for more information: How to remove retweets from your Social Wall
DISPLAY YOUR SOCIAL WALL
Once you’ve setup the Social Profiles and have enabled them, copy your Social Wall URL and paste it on a browser or digital signage software. We have also included an iFrame code so you can easily paste this on your website. Read this post to learn How To Embed A Social Wall On Your Website.
